It is illegal to include anything else that is not a letter in the envelope when sending through mail. I think the only way is to deliver it. Good luck anyways! :D

What are you talking about,of course he can mail a tiny helmet through the mail but because of its shape it will probably have to be sent as a small package in a little box because obviously it isn't flat enough to be lettermail.

I know that. What you're talking about is exactly what I meant. I just thought he was trying to send the helmet through general airmail, so according to UPU, I told him that it was illegal. So I told him to use delivery. Of course he has to send a package. Why wouldn't I know that much basic knowledge? You are the one who should be told "what are you talking about."

If you are talking about the Riddell Pocket Pros 2" helmets, I don't think it will be too much. I would use two bubble mailers. I have never sent them out, but it would seem good to use a #000 (4x7) for the SASE and a #0 (6x9) to send everything out. You would have to weigh them at the post office to determine the amount of postage. I don't know the weight, so I can't tell you how many stamps to use. Using a box inside a box would probably cost more, but it's up to you.

No, I don't. I think the bubble wrap in the envelope will do a fine job of protecting your helmets. But if you want, you can wrap it in cardboard, an extra layer of bubble wrap, or something similar to give it a bit more cushion. It should still fit in the bubble envelopes. I've never seen one so I don't know how fragile they are.

Then and again, we send cards out with little or no protection, so taking chances is a part of the hobby, I guess. It all depends on how easy and expensive it would be to replace it. It's up to you. I don't blame you for being cautious.

EDIT: Check out this link: http://www.hipolitodesigns.com/Articles ... allTTM.cfm While a baseball is not exactly what you want to send out, the method is the same. Also note that the postage prices have increased since the articles first came out. (This was the first TTM site I ever visited, by the way.)
