I believe that when you move to a new home, all your mail that is being sent to the previous home will have a yellow sticker on it that should notify the postal service of your new address, and they'll ship it there. But just to be safe you should call the postal service and tell them that you changed your address, because after about a year, this does not work anymore and any mail that is sent to your old residence will stay there.

Hope I helped.
Thank you for your help,
Nick

Hey Courtney,

When someone moves, their mail is forwarded to their new address for a period of time. I'm not sure how long, but I know it is for a while.

When someone moves, like RentRocks314 said, it is forwarded to your new address. Provided that you tell the post office to. This is called a forwarding order. They last a year.

Happy Holidays :D

Hi {up}

In the UK you have to set up a mail redirection with the Royal Mail. It does cost you (about £40 I think) but you can redirect for up to 2 years.

For more info see here: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/cont ... aId=600047

It takes a week to set up, so make sure you do it well before you move house!
