It takes me 5-6 stamps to send to the UK, so that should work.

You need to weigh your photo, SASE (and everything else you expect to be returned to you) first. Then convert the weight to ounces. Then you can easily find out how much the postage will be. Or if you have difficulties with a foreign postal system, let us know the weight and then someone can let you know how much to put on the SASE. Otherwise we can only guess, and that's not always good.

Also keep in mind that the US Postal Service is proposing rate increases in January. The propossed increases and prices are listed on their web site.

Thanks for that! Downloaded both international and domestic proposed prices but nothing for first class international.
In addition to an overall price change of 3.5 percent for Priority Mail, new prices for Express Mail, Global Express Guaranteed, Express Mail International, Priority Mail International, Parcel Select and Parcel Return Service will be effective Jan. 2

A 8X10 should be 2.08 in stamps. As long as you have enough stamps to cover the cost, they don't care what denomination the stamps are.

I have no idea where they got that 70 ounces is HEAVY and that will be expensive!

1.24 is the cost for a 1 ounce 8X10 size envelope.

4 ounces will be 3.76!

So will $1.24 for a 10x8 plus 2 10x8 photos be enough??

It depends how much it weighs. I measured the photos I sent at one time and one 8X10 weighs about an ounce. Not sure what more weighs, but you probably can assume an ounce for each photo

Two ounces is 2.08

Three ounces 2.82
