Pre-Prints: Black and White Only?

Hello there! I hope that this isn't a dumb question, so here goes. I'm new to this hobby, and I have been looking at feedbacks of my wanted celebs. I noticed that almost all the pre-prints were black and white. My question is, are all pre-prints black and white, or do they vary depending on the celeb? Thanks.

One of my students got back a color preprint from Morgan Freeman.

Pre-prints can be Black & White and also Color. But most just typically send B/W as they cost less to produce.
