Question: When Posting "HOME ADDRESS" Successes.....

Hey MODS OUT THERE, I Have a Fast Question:

If I Get a Success By Using a Home Address Thats Not in the Database Can I Still Post My Success? and How Do I Post It? Do I Just Post: Address: PRIVATE? or What?

I personally post those under the 'General discussion' and mark the address as private. that way they don't get tossed in the trash section.

Correct. Typically when a private address success is posted in feedback one of the mods moves them to trash since their's no address.

By being in the general discussion thread it doesn't.

I wouldn't post it at all. A real fan would write them even if they didn't have any feedback on this site and that way they wouldn't be spammed by people who are just wanting another success.

well i wouldnt post the address, im not that dumb. and i am a real fan of whoever im sending. i dont send for just a free photo.

I agree with BossC here. If you don't want to post the address (for any reason- private addy, fear of the address being spammed, etc), don't post anything. Be happy with your success you got, there is no need for you to post a success from a private address unless just want to gloat. If you want post a note in the autograph diaries thread that you got such and such that would be fair. I really don't understand why people have to share email and private successes, be happy you got them....shouldn't that be enough? Isn't that the point?

1. what is the autograph diaries thread?
2. there are people on here who gloat all the time (about PRIVATE Emails ands Home addresses) and i dont have anyone to really "gloat" about, so i think i am gonna post them because its nice to gloat once in a while.

SIDENOTE: for some reason people seem to be confused about what im asking: i never asked "should i post it"...i asked "where should i post it?" so people can say "i dont think u should post it at all" but im still my own person and will post it where Ryan J told me to post it. (since he correctly answered my question....) thnkx!

I answered that with the reply- no where. I even added that if you didn't want to post all the info you should post it under the thread- Autograph Diaries here is a link to the thread viewtopic.php?f=114&t=126988&start=2820 it is a sticky under Autograph Collecting Discussions. Under the same topic there is also a sticky for autographs that have been received via trade or purchase.

I don't think posting "private" feedback under the General Discussion area is correct. As is says "Discussion of current events and participation in intelligent conversation with other Fanmail.biz users." and before you say that under Autograph Collecting Discussion states " You can also post suggestions, comments to the fanmail.biz database managers here. Do not post your feedback here. Do not request a celebrity address here." Remember you are only gloating not posting constructive feedback.
