Hi
The cost (according to Australia Post) is AU$1.80 for up to a 50g letter to the USA.
I have added a link below which you can use to establish the correct price for other size/weight items.
http://www1.auspost.com.au/pac/int_letter_type.asp
Hope this helps!
Ian

Thanks

You're right Lucas42
Using international stamps it costs $1.80 to send a standard letter (up to 50g) overseas.
It costs $1.20 in international stamps to send a letter to New Zealand
and the Asia Pacific region (e.g. China, Japan...) and $1.10 for cards (up to 20g) and postcards.
If you use domestic stamps (e.g. 50c stamps) you have to add an extra 10% worth of postage to these prices(e.g. $1.98 for international letters, $1.32 for New Zealand/Asia Pacific region, and $1.21 for Cards & Postcards.) It's just Australia Post's policy

.
All the best with your collecting
