Return address on SASE? y/n?

Hi all,

Pretty excited to start collecting autographs. :)

I have a question. On your SASE, do you put the celebrity's return address? I have wondered if this will cause whoever (whomever? never been good at that) comes in contact with the mail to steal it. I don't know how likely that is and I like to think the best of people, but it would suck if a star replied and you just thought they ignored you because you never received it.

Any other advice would be appreciated, if you keep something in mind about contacting the celebrities for autographs that may not be on the stickies.

Excited to (hopefully) share some success stories.

I don't, since unless it's the celebrity's home address it won't be coming back from there anyway, and if it's returned to an agency as undeliverable it is not really their job to work at getting it to you if it's failed the first time. It would also, as you say, flag to the post office who it's from.

I will very occasionally put my work address on the back instead, so that if for any reason it was misdelivered to the wrong address and sent back to the sorting office it would be redirected there, but generally don't as it seems a bit paranoid.

I either put my address as the return, or nothing at all.

I never put anything there, personally, but I've gotten a few back where the guys/girls write their own. I've known a few collectors who write their own address minus their name.

I do this, and it's always come back without a problem.
