How would you send this poster without smudging?

I'd like to send this 11x17 poster out to Robin Williams...as you see..it is very dark and his signature would really look awesome in silver paint pen. If I was there in person, I'd have him sign it in paint pen but since I'm sending this through the mail...I am very worried that it will be smudged when returned back to me.

I was thinking of sending it in a small tube mailer along with the pen for him to sign. Any other suggestions form anyone on how I can recieve this back without ruining the autograph? Is there a pen I can use that would look great on this poster but won't smudge?

I typically place a note on my letter or the poster itself asking them to please allow time for signature to dry before rolling back up. {up} I've gotten several Posters TTM and some signed in silver and they look fantastic. {up} Silver Sharpies work the greatest for posters.

Thanks Ryan for your always helpful posts!

Helps to know that others have successfully sent posters out without issues since I know most people do 8x10s and such.
