How big a picture should I send?

How big a picture should I send for a request, particularly a VV request? I just got a few 4 by 6's printed and I was wondering if that was to small? They were free too, so I wasn't about to turn them down, but next time should I get a bigger size?

Hey there!!!
Personally 4x6 are fine!! I always send 8x10 glossy's and i never had a problem!!! I don't think it makes a difference!! You can send them anything you like!! I'm sure they will sign it!!

Ok, thanks for your help!
Another question: One of the 4 by 6's I was planning on sending I wanted to send to a band with 5 people in it. Do you think it is big enough that they could all sign it, and do you think there is any chance of them, all or even just one of the members, signing it?

it would probably be too small for 5 people, Ive not sent to many bands but the ones I have Ive just sent a big SASE and no pic, Because I think they just sign a stack of their own to send out since their on the road so much

That's what I thought too. At least I can try, right? Have you ever gotten anything back signed by the whole band by just sending out a big SASE?

There's nothing wrong with sending 6x4's to celebrities. I've done it so many times and received the photos back signed.
It will be a problem for 5 people to sign it though, as it'll be a bit small. You could try and get a larger photo (I would recommend at least 6x8 or larger.) Or you could just send a large SASE and hope for the best.
Good luck with your request for Oasis!
