Should I send a SASE to artists? Will they send back if I don't? What should I do?

It's always best to send a SASE when writing to someone. It increases your chances of getting a reply. Some people won't reply if you don't include one.

Yes always send a SASE like Tabby said it increases your chances. Personally I find it kind of rude not to send one.

I used to send letters like the first 5 months I started collecting and then I started to use SASEs and I got so many more autographs then just sending letters.

Same here, my first few months I started collecting a seriously sent out close to 300 letters, just letters, and I was surprised at some of them that I actually got back. But when I started sending SAE's and SASE's I got a lot more responses.
