If we want to send a celeb. a photo we printed out, how to I make it look like a photo instead of a piece of paper?

I totally disagree...the photos i print at home are much nicer than ones you get at stores.I use a canon printer with canon ink and high quality photo paper and the junk you get at stores does not compare to the quality i get on my printer...You must be using poor quality paper or something.HappinessStan wrote:As Ryan says, get them printed at a supermarket or wherever you can find that's cheap.
The quality will be far, far better than you'll get at home. If I realise someone I'd like to write to is playing at the theatre opposite where I work I'll occasionally print one off on a super-duper high quality printer, but they still look rubbish compared to even the cheapest one from the cheap photo shop round the corner.
No its not from big wolf on campus although i remember that show...My photo is of mia kirshner from the crow:city of angels.marycollins316 wrote:Thanks guys! I'll try yourr ideas! By the way Johnnylightninglives, is your profile picture from the show, 'Big Wolf on Campus'? Medusa right? I love that show!
Even though my display picture is not the girl who played medusa ironically i have the autograph of the actress who played medusa in "Big Wolf on Campus" I forgot she was in that show actually but here is her autograph ...marycollins316 wrote:Thanks guys! I'm very happy with the quality of the ones I get printed professionally in the UK, and at 25p (just under 40 US cents) each for a 7"x5" or 8"x6", and as many free 4"x6" ones as I can possibly use through introductory offers, it would be a very long time before a printer paid for itself in my case, once ink and quality photo paper was priced in as well. I'm fairly certain that the cost of the high quality paper on its own would cost more than the ones I get printed.johnnylightninglives wrote:I totally disagree...the photos i print at home are much nicer than ones you get at stores.I use a canon printer with canon ink and high quality photo paper and the junk you get at stores does not compare to the quality i get on my printer...You must be using poor quality paper or something.
Yeah i guess it depends on your budget and the quality of the printer and ink is important too.I guess its cheaper to have them printed but i like to be able to get my pictures right away when i need them and i am fussy about the paper i like thick photo paper which you never seem to get with store bought photos because they are printing them for so cheap.HappinessStan wrote:I'm very happy with the quality of the ones I get printed professionally in the UK, and at 25p (just under 40 US cents) each for a 7"x5" or 8"x6", and as many free 4"x6" ones as I can possibly use through introductory offers, it would be a very long time before a printer paid for itself in my case, once ink and quality photo paper was priced in as well. I'm not saying don't do it, but if you're on a budget it's a good idea to consider the economics of it, and do the research on the right printer, paper and ink for the job.
