hi guys, i wonder if you could help me out. I want to print some photos of celebs to get signed but my printer doesn't print out high quality images. If i was to send some files to a company like jessops to print out some photos would they print out celeb pics for me? Are there copyright issues?
Any feedback appreciated.

They should if they don't have problems with copyright issues. Try adorama pix for printing photos, they don't worry about copyright and they have good quality service!

Adroama is the place I will use. But my problem is I can't find good enough images online to make an 8x10.
It seems that a lot of people are able to find these online and print them or get them printed. I've gone to the advised sites, am I doing something wrong?
thanks.

go to Google and click the 'Images' button and search for the person your looking to write then when it brings up the images, their's a button on the left that says 'large' that will only display the HI-RESOLUTION images which work for printing as 8x10's.

Thanks for the information.
Does this make a print of good quality? I did as you instructed, but most of the images came up on 3x3 or 3x4 inches in 72-96 resolution. I put them into photoshop and once they go to 8x10, they are very poor quality.

You want to try and look for photos that are over 1,000x2,000 pixel quality. those tend to work the best. anything smaller than that will print off grainy when enlarged to 8x10.

OK, thanks.
Do you find a lot like that or are they few and far between?

If the person you are looking for isn't well known it can be hard to find photos. For them I have to use screen captures of their roles from DVDs. But if you are trying a well known actor/personality there should be MANY photos of them online in high quality.
Who are you looking for?

I am looking mainly for actors/actresses of the 1940's and 50s.
For example: Lauren Bacall, Arlene Dahl, Lizabeth Scott.
What do you mean by screen images of DVD?
thanks.

I think Lauren Bacall should have some good images online, but not sure about the others.
About Screen Captures:
I have a DVD program on my computer (CyberlinkDVD) that plays the DVD and also lets me copy the current screen as a photo.
I do believe there is another way to capture the screen even if your computer doesn't have CyberlinkDVD, but I'm not sure how to do it. It is something with the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.
