How many stamps do I need?

I go to the post office everytime for mailing my LOR, they would stamp it for me and I'll pay.
But right now I want to mail it through my own mail box but I don't know how many stamps I need.
So my question is: How many stamps do I need if I'm mailing a regular size picture,a small letter, and a SASE?

Are you in the USA? & by 'regular size picture', what size would that be? 4x6? 5x7? 8x10? How much does it typically cost you to send it from your post office?

It's 8 1/2 x 11. I am from USA, I'm not sure about the price, but usually they put 2-3 stamps on it.
I just don't know if their stamps are the same as mine. (I use the regular stamps that you got from post office)
That would be great that if you know. Thanks!

Cool! I'm going to assume they put three .44 cents stamps on it, seeing that it is 8x11. Make sure to buy the 'forever' kind as the price for a first class mail stamp goes up another cent in January. So three stamps is what you'll want to put on it.
