So I'm new to this whole fanmail thing and I have sent out about 20 letters. I started sending letters on the 3rd of January this year and I send out about 3-4 a day. I haven't heard back from any of the places I've sent letters to is it because I didn't include a SASE? I just found out what those were today so I'm kinda scared that all those letters were just a waste.

Three weeks is a little bit early to think you won't get a responce. That said, sending a SASE definitely helps your chances of getting a response. I would just start using SASEs from now on and if in 8-12 months you haven't heard from those first people, retry them.

I always research my celebs before sending. For instance because amanda seyfried always pays for postage, I just sent her an sae, and I sent heather morris an sase because everyone else does!!! Hope this helps!
