SASE arrives with no card and envelope unsealed

on 3/3/12 I received one of my SASE in the mail. There was no card in it because whoever signed and mailed the card never sealed it. So the card either fell out or was taken. I'm bummed because the postmark is unreadable so I won't know who sent the card. I have quite a few out (Some have been out for over a year) so it's anyone's guess as to the identity of the signer. I wish I at least knew the postmark. First time in over 200 SASEs that this has ever happened. Anyone else have this happen?

I've gotten a few unsealed, one empty.

Contacted the post office about it, but since it wasn't insured, they couldn't do anything for me.

My Sase come back almost open sometimes I don't think the celebrities do a very good job sometimes of sealing them.

I got one once that had clearly been opened and taped shut again, but nothing was missing

Depending on where it came from that can be customs opening it. They have the right to open incoming mail and make sure nothing illegal is inside it.

I used to be paranoid that mailmen caught onto my hobby and knew I was getting autographs and that they were stealing them lol

If Customs opens something they will use tape that shows its been opened by Customs. in Canada its a yellow tape in the US its a green tape.

If you have any Customs questions free free to ask i know some stuff about Customs....well in Canada anyway
