So I'm gonna buy this DVD.

I want to get 1 picture from the DVD.

But.. I don't know how to get the picture from the DVD to make it as high of quality as possibly.

I know you can pause the DVD then prnt screen and paste into MSPAINT however MSPAINT only has so many colors and will not come out HQ.

Anyone know THE BEST way to let the image keeps its great quality?

I have a program called 'Microsoft Office picture manager' and I can paste the photos to there and simply crop all the extra stuff out and it's good to go! MSpaint like you said, doesn't work that well for screen shots.

graphic programs are your best beat for things like that paint shop pro or photo shop would be the ones to pick for something like that both are free 30 trail versions

Or you can use your media player and screen cap like when using VLC that way you don't need a photoshop program to save.

I actually screen cap it on my media player and paste it onto paint pro shop to do my edits to them. Works great all the time.

Most DVD players should have a button that captures stills, some will even save them as a file as well without the need for a separate program to paste it onto. If you need a stronger graphics editor than Paint, there are some good free ones out there - GIMP, Paint.NET, etc.

But the thing about DVDs is that they're only 720 pixels, and each still is part of a moving picture, so it's hard to really get a truly high-quality picture from it.
