Sending your own Pictures?

When do you know if you have to send your own pictures or if the celebrity will include their own? For example I always send my own pictures but sometimes I can't find a good 8x10 of the person (the size I mainly use). So I'll find the next best thing to send to them and its not always a picture I like. I just feel like if I don't include a picture though I won't get anything back. What do you guys think?

It is hard to know who will provide the photo and who you have to send your own to. Basically it is just research.
I love getting 8X10s as well but they cost a lot to print/buy and it is more expensive to ship. I usually look at a person's feedback and see if they have provided a photo to fans or sometimes I just take a chance and just send a large SASE and hope for the best.
If you are writing via a movie set then you should provide a photo but many times when you write in care of an agent/manager/publicist they will have photos on hand--SOME will, not all.

http://www.ipapress.com/aspx/home.aspx?lang=En There is a trick to download High Resolution images, simply copy/paste the address of image thumbnail (the one in search results) and delete 'THMB' and it's done
If you're looking for more serious site, check these two:

These require an account (newscom = 45$) to download high resolution images. They are huge image archives, I am pretty sure you can find pics of any celebrity.
Back to your topic, I think it's way better to send your own pics, you can choose what pic you want them to sign. Also they can provide pic which you won't like so in my opinion: own pics > celeb's pics.

I'll totally check out those sites! And @dancingirl1 Just in general I mean I mainly send stuff to the Degrassi cast and some of the actors/actresses are new to the business so they don't always have a lot of pictures out there.

Well I have letters for Marc Donato and Dalmar but I just can't find pictures I like to include with theirs! D:

Not one in particular...I always start with the person's name and GOOGLE! lol!
