Do I need to send in photo as well ?

Hey there,
Do I need to mail the celebrities' photo as well if I want to get their autograph ? I don't know where can I get those head-shots sized photos that I can send in along with my mail. Will they be sending out their photos still if we asked for their autograph but has no picture for them ?
