How many stamps should i use?

I am going to send 1-3 baseball cards to players in the MLB. I'm sending the envelope with 1-3 cards, a LOR, and a SASE inside. How may stamps do I put on the envelope and on the SASE. Can i just drop it off in the box or should I take it to the post office. Do I need to write do not bend?
