Well I am a huge Autograph collector. But I never knew what A SASE meant so I figured I'd request an autograph to Debby Ryan but I didn't include an SASE. It took about 6 months to arrive and I got an autograph by Debby Ryan without SASE.
Then I sent requests to Asa Butterfield, Rihanna, Chloe Moretz, Ariana Grande, Yuna Kim, Avril Lavigne, Jake Short, Selena Gomez, Adele, Ross Lynch, One Direction, and Colbie Caillat without an SASE too! But I still requested it! But now I know what an SASE is and how to do an SASE and Now i'm really worried. I send these requests about a month ago and I still haven't
received anything back yet! Will I ever get an autographed photo from them? Will they be willing to send me an autograph like Debby Ryan even though i didn't provide an SASE? I'm really worried and sad  So can anyone help?
And second, on average how many stamps do you need to put on, on the outside envelope and the inside envelope when you are sending an SASE with a requesting letter?

Well, a few of those people you sent to aren't known to sign often (or ever) through the mail. I would say that includes at least Selena Gomez, Adele and One Direction. It's unfortunate, but they are usually so busy that they either don't read mail at all or maybe a few pieces. Anyway, I think you can still get photos from any of those people, depending on the addresses you used...but they will probably be pre-prints or computer/machine signed.

I'm fairly new to sending TTM and VV myself, but I've already learned so much. It's really all about patience. I have requests from April that are still unanswered (and I mailed either SASE or SAE to them). Some of the members on here have requests from 2010 or 2011 that come back unexpectedly or took a long time. There's never a guarantee as to how quick you'll receive a response, even if it's a rejection from the person's secretary. It varies from address to address and celeb to celeb.

As for the postage, it basically depends on:
- Your location vs. the destination
- Size/weight of the envelopes

For US only mail, I usually put one Forever stamp (current value is 45 cents) on a 4x9 envelope and two on a 6x9 (yellow w/ clasp). That applies to both me sending to the celeb and the SASE. Sometimes I put two Forever stamps on a 4x9 if the contents are somewhat heavy (but still flat). Anything larger, like a 9x12 (yellow w/ clasp), I take the post office and the lady there weighs it for me.

For international mail, it's not as simple. I can't really help you there, except to say that it usually costs me above $2 to mail a 9x12. On those return envelopes, which I always include, I never place stamps because I don't have 'em. Instead, I slip in a couple to a few US dollars. So far I have had no problems with doing so that I know of.

I guess my advice to you is don't count the days too much. It will drive you nuts if you wait by the mailbox or front door a lot. Just write a great letter, include as much of the correct materials as possible like SASE and stamps, and let it go. Also, try mailing to a few celebs that are known to be great or decent signers. I'm sure if you do a bit of research, you might find some you want to write to. In my opinion, musicians are some of the hardest to get - especially if they're super popular right now. And it's okay if you didn't send any SASEs at first. We all made small mistakes when first starting out. But now you know!

Hope I helped. :)
