Hi all, I didn't see a post on this so I figured I should make one. When writing a letter for a SASE do you (personally) address a celebrity by a stage name or their given name (for example a rapper would you call him Mr. X or write his stage name? I hope everyone will share their opinions and thanks for reading!

Personally, I'd use their stage name, because after all, if your doing VV, it's the staff at the venue who would be passing on the fan mail. If you use, for example Lady GaGa's real name, not everybody knows who you're refferring to. Even if you are sending to their management. The staff MIGHT only recognise a celebrity's stage name. :)

I would use the real name for the majority of the time. I used Terry Bollea for Hulk Hogan and I think Saul Hudson for Slash and Whoopie Goldberg's real name. The only time I would use the stage name is when they are so big right now that the stage name is all theyre know as ex. Lady Gaga. But when it comes to rappers, I would use their actual name for guys like Lil Wayne, Eminem and Drake.
