I have always sent out 6x9 in. envelopes, with a SASE, photo, and letter included. But I have not been able to do many requests lately because of school and money, and I have forgotten what type of stamp to use (U.S). I know they are once again increasing the prices, and I was wondering if anyone knew what stamps to buy with a 6x9 envelope? Thanks!

Get Forever stamps. They are currently 45c each. They can be used even when the cost of postage goes up (much like the UK 1st and 2nd class stamps). I send out 6x9 envelopes too and use them.
I generally put 2 forever stamps on my SASE and then put it in my request envelope and go to the Post Office and they weigh and decide how many stamps are needed. It is normally between 1 and 3.

I hope you understand what I meant and this helps you :)

I heard about the price going up in January but I don't have a lot of details.

You didn't say where you were located so here's a rough explanation:
In the US to another address in the US a 6X9 envelope that weighs 1 ounce or under (about 2 4x6 photos or 1 5x7) is just one forever stamp. They are currently .45 but will go up in price and worth once the price increase kicks in.

From the US to Canada/Mexico that same envelope cost .85

And to the UK/Europe/Asia is is 1.05.

If you can give me more details I can be more specific.
