Envelopes with No Post Office Markings

Hey Everyone!

I'm new to the forum and just started what I hope to be a longtime hobby in autograph collecting. I recently received my first success - Liza Minnelli! I wrote her a nice LOR with 2 pictures and a SASE. I received both pictures back within a week! She is really so great to her fans :)

My question is regarding the photo mailer I sent. Unfortunately I'm away from my house so I can't post a picture, but the photo mailer (white cardboard from Staples) came back with no markings from the post office. It looks as if no one touched the envelope besides putting the signed pictures in and sealing it. Is this normal? Does the post office sometimes not mark or stamp the envelopes? I used 4 Forever stamps.

Thanks for your feedback!

Hello, and great news on your first success.

It is quite normal that the envelope is not stamped. It has happened quite often with me.
Don't worry though :)
If you're super careful you might be able to reuse the stamps or the whole envelope depending on its condition.
