Hi everyone,

I am a newbie so I'd like some tips please..
I know you should send a SASE along but I have tried so hard to find stamps for other countries and have had very bad luck. So recently I have sent a few fan-mail letters out with pictures for people sign but have only included an self-addressed envelope. No return stamps or IRC!
How much would this lower my chance of a reply and my pics being returned? I'd love for the pics to be returned as they costed a lot of money.

If it was you receiving them would you pay for some random persons postage? I assume fairly hefty reduction in chances.

You can't have tried that hard, as people on here sell US and UK postage, just look in the selling lists.....

Yes I have tried working things out with people on here but they only accept their currency which I have no way of getting. I don't drive either. And the last time I made a deal, the person never even sent the stamps. I lost a good $50.

AND if I was a celebrity, I'd be more than happy to pay postage for fans. Fans would be the ones who really keep me in buisness. Plus, a few bucks, even hundred bucks here and there is NOTHING compared to what celebrities earn (in the millions).

And when they get thousands of letters every week, it soon adds up.

99% of people use Paypal, which converts the currency.

Just because the fans keep them in business doesn't mean they owe you postage, you're after a free autograph, which they could sell themselves, but you've got the cheek to ask for that AND for them to pay for the postage?

Like with anything, use feedback with people. I've just bought some US stamps from Bri0626 on here, and they arrived fine within the week. If lots of people are getting them fine, then it should be ok.

Taking the easy route isn't the option, it's just rude....

I'm not rude. If you have nothing pisotive to say, don't say it at all.

Hey, you asked for help, I'm just telling you thats it's rude to expect these people to pay for the postage you didn't bother to source...

There are options there, which everyone else uses, they'll be the ones who're happy with their breakfast mail, you may well get replies, but I wouldn't be holding my breath,

Just being realistic, sorry, get yourself some stamps, and happy hunting...
