Hey guys,

for the longest time I've always considered sending out letters to people requesting autographs but always presumed it wouldn't work. Finding this site gives you a lot of confidence that many celebrities do truly value their fans so I'm determined to give it a go and even make it a mission to collect autographs from my various heroes and sources of inspiration, I have quite a few! Actors, sports people etc.

Anyway to the questions

Please can someone tell me a good place to acquire actual photos of celebrities or how to obtain them? It may seem a stupid question but is there somewhere where you order actual photographs from, I wouldn't want to be sending paper pictures as it would ruin things

Secondly I don't suppose anyone has experience contacting sports teams do they? I'm a huge New York Jets and Minnesota Wild fan but I'm from England. I was going to send photos of Mikko Koivu, Darrelle Revis, Muhammad Wilkerson, Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Cal Clutterbuck to the respective teams. Does anyone have success dealing with sports teams and have any advice?

I can help you with the first part! I'd say 98% of celebrities that sign through the mail could care less what what photos you send them to be autographed, but there are a handful that won't sign specific photos (like an actor/actress may not sign photos of themselves as a certain character or from a certain movie/series) but those cases are rare. For actually ordeing your photos, just a simple Google image search works and you can filter your search results to show only large/HQ images. When ordering your prints, stay away from Walmart and CVS-- they are extremely picky (at least from my experience) about copyright and may not print your photos, but Snapfish and Walgreens print beautifully and aren't strict on their copyright, and you can either pick up your pictures in store or have them shipped out to you. There are also a few helpful users/threads on here where some nice people will find HQ photos of celebrities for you. I'm not sports collector but I recommend index cards for athletes-- you can even customize them with text or photos or just leave them blank with the signature standing out and put them in a mat/display which some users on here have done--they look amazing. Many sports teams send out fan packs at no charge as well with some cool merch, so check those out as well. Hope this helped
