Do VV requests increase chances of an authentic autograph?

Hi, I'm new to fanmail.biz but have written TTM requests and gained a few autographs before. Was wondering on people's opinions on if writting VV requests would increase chances of getting an authentic reply or if you are just as likely to get one by sending one TTM to their fanmail address which (correct me if im wrong) have a better success rate? Have never sent VV before but have seen people have had some successes that way with people who I like and am thinking of sending a request to. Not sure if I'm doing this whole posting thing right but if anyone could give their opinion I'd be very grateful.

For certain celebrities, sending via venue may very well increase your chances. It depends on the person.
