IRC Alternatives?

Now that IRC's are discontinued, and the Post Office no longer sells them. What is a good alternative? Leave cash in the envelope, or perhaps a travelers cheque? Any ideas? The post office wouldn't sell me the IRC's they had left.

Anyone wants to trade German, UK, or Australian stamps for US stamps? Please let me know.

My local post office still sells them.
But, with that said, I have used dollar bills in the past with success.
Terry Gilliam was a recent success I had using cash.

I live in the Netherlands and we also don't have IRC's.
I always put 2 or 3 dollars with my letter and I have been sending for years
and I always get my letter back.
And in Europe I send 5 euro's.

Your post office may be selling their remaining supply but they are no longer available to be ordered. They have been deleted from their product list.

I just sent to Debby Ryan in Burbank, CA. today and included two IRCs, will I still be good?

Debby pays for the envelope and she sends preprint now so you should've not wasted your ircs!

Not necessarily true.

I asked about them at my local post office and they ordered them in for me.

Horrible, isn't it? I still have to ask my local US post office if they still have some left. It's like we have to have our own little stamp trading center or black market, lol. Royal Mail sells stamps worldwide. I don't know about the other countries.

Well I just sent a request to a couple of actors in Great Britain from the US and didn't know about IRC's so I sent a couple of $5 Starbuck gift cards as compensation, in place of postage. Let's see if it works.
