On the envelopes to the United Kingdom...[because I'll be using AIRMAIL/PAR AVION] can I write AIRMAIL/Par Avion myself or do I have to buy airmail mailing stickers?
...and how many IRC's would I need to buy to mail to the England from the US?

I've seen people write "Air Mail" themselves on envelopes. Since Airmal stickers at the post office are free, I don't really think it makes that much of a different whether you use the stickers or write it. Of course, the stickers
are free so it might not hurt to get some of them.
And 2-3 IRCs should be enough

I doubt they would let you have a whole roll--maybe just a few.
I have found that there are airmail envelopes available at the store (Walmart is a favorite of mine

) that already are marked and are colored so that they would stand out in the mail (red and blue stripes). I'm not sure what sizes are available, but you might look into that!

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I didn't realize you posted!
You've probably already been to Wal- Mart but I found the airmail envelopes with the other envelopes in the stationary area.
