sending previously autographed photographs?

Hello
I am wondering how hard it would be to gather autographs from the cast of a movie. I had a photo that featured a few cast members, and if I so happened to be lucky enough to get it signed by one, it is possible to send it out to another cast member to get their autograph on it as well? I know it's chancy as it might not come back to me if the second person doesn't sign it. I was just wondering if this is an okay practice?
And, has anyone ever sent something other than photographs to be signed?
Thanks

Well, you would need to research to figure out who commonly signs through the mail.
I, personally, have been looking to do the same thing with certain people after I've looked into things; and I know I might not see them again. But I, personally, won't send something to another person unless I have 2 autographs of that person, so I know if I don't get the one back I'll still have something signed by them.

I agree. I would hate to chance not getting the photo back, if it's already signed, unless I had more than one of that actor. I typically only get multi-signed photos through conventions, because there's no danger of either the celebrity not returning the photo or it getting lost in the mail. For example, I have a Boba Fett photo signed by Jeremy Bulloch (from the original Star Wars films) and Daniel Logan (Boba Fett as a child from Attack of the Clones), and I'd love to send it to Jason Wingreen (Fett's voice in Empire) but I'm leary of it getting lost or damaged in the mail (even though Wingreen is a terrific signer).
I have a comic art print of Darth Vader fighting Dr. Doom which Joseph Culp (Dr. Doom in the unreleased FF movie from the 90s) signed for me TTM, and James Earl Jones signed it for me as well. I think that's the only chance I've taken.
To answer your other question, I've only gotten DVD covers and trading cards signed through the mail, besides pictures.

Thanks for the thoughts, I'll have to double check that they do TTM. I'd hate to lose an autograph that I had. I remember seeing a list around here of those who generally do/don't sign TTM, but what if the people I'm querying about aren't listed there, can I post a thread on the forum?
And, from what I can tell on the forums, people generally send one or two photos through the mail to get signed?
Thanks

1-2 is about right; in my opinion, anything more than that is just being greedy.

It's all a gamble. I would love to do this all the time but there's NEVER a guarantee. Considering more than 2 thirds of my requests from 2008 never came back as an RTS or success, I'm a lot more wary of what I send out these days, even to those who have a reputation as great signers.

All righty, so not sending another autograph that quasi-valuable to you is probably not a good idea then, just in case it doesn't come back. Does anyone know how to find out if actors sign TTM, if they aren't listed on any of the forums here? I'm interested in sending to some Broadway actors.
I had a few other questions, please:
I found an address that wasn't in the database for one actor. But, they state that it is only good for two months (he just went back to the UK, and I guess he'll be off somewhere else after two months?). Has anyone else had any success with temporary addresses? Does that mean that he will only reply, if he does reply, within those two months?
And, I found an email address to another's agent, from the website they have, can I email them and ask for an address to send fan letters to?
Thanks!

i would recommend the email to the agent or if you have a phone number works also. as far as the one whose address was only for 2 months it only means that he might reply through that address. some people have had success with the venue, and others have not. it is a chance that people take. if sending for more than one person to sign the same photo. i would recommend either trying to find a number or their facebook/twitter accounts and ask them if they would sign it before sending it. hope it helps.

As long as it's not too valuable and you don't mind losing it... Then go ahead.
No risk, no reward!
When I got Harrison Ford to sign both my Star Wars 8x10s via TTM... They were already signed... One by Carrie Fisher and one by Peter Mayhew. Those two sign at conventions all the time so they would have been easy to replace.
