photograph with a black background

I have a photograph of an actor that I want to send, in hopes of getting autographed, and the background is black. Is this a problem at all? I've seen photos signed with a silver marker or pen (one girl at this one autograph session with a band had a silver pen for the artist to sign this way). Will they do it that way with the lighter colour instead of with the common black pen/marker signature that I usually see on lighter photos? Thanks :)

I depends, usually on what the person has on hand. I have seen photos sign with any number of things, including a regular red ink pen. I have sent photos that have darker backgrounds, and gotten them signed and them look fine. If there is anywhere on the photo that is lighter I would assume that you are okay, but without seeing the photo I can't give you advice on that certain photo.

Thanks for the reply. There is some lighter colour on it, the clothing is brown (although I guess that's a darker shade too LOL) This is the photograph I have printed:

Hopefully it isn't an issue. Thanks! :)

I would think if you sent that then it would be signed on the clothing.
