US postage has changed - What happens to my SASEs?

Hey everyone,
I really need your help!
I bought a bunch of US stamps (1.05$) in the beginning of the year and put most of them on my SAEs. Now I read that the postage to Germany has changed from 1.05$ to 1.10$. I know that isn't much, but I'm worried that some of my letters won't reach me, because the celeb (or the person handling the SASEs) doesn't notice that the postage is missing 0.05$ or they do not want to buy 5ct stamps.
What will happen if someone sends the SASE? I just put my address on it, not the agencies'. So the letter will not be send back to the celeb. Will the letter reach me and I have to pay the 5ct or will it be trashed?
And I still have a few of the 1.05$ stamps left. :/ Can I still use them?
I really hope someone can answer my question. I would be really angry and sad if some autographs won't reach me, because of 5ct.

Most the time they will still get to you. But for the stamps you have left you do need .05 stamps for them.

It depends, on the letter. I have sent some that weighed the exact same amount and were going to the same city before, and one got through and one was sent back to me. But if your post office is anything like mine, if there is not return address and the postage on it doesn't cover it, when it reaches your city they will have to come down to the post office and pay the difference. I would think they woudl still make it to you, one way or the other. Since the US post office is kinda screwy, I would maybe in the future give yourself a few cent cushion if you can, that way you don't have to worry.

Sorry I can't help, but this is why I always put too much postage on my SASE's (2x$1.10/$1.05).
Prices do rise every year generally speaking and this way I don't have to worry about them.
I know you are angry over 5c but it is your responsibility to plan for things like price changes.

i do agree that if you buy the forever stamps and put at least 3-4 stamps for a huge envelope. you will not have to worry, cause the forever stamps are the same price no matter what. the only difference is if you are sending over seas. hope this helps a little bit. i believe that you will get them back though.

That's what I do, for any countries that use forever stamps. It works pretty well for me. So I will agree with that.

Thank you everyone! I'm glad to hear that the SASEs will still reach me!
About the weight: I calculated it before I bought the stamps and the 1.05$ ones were enough. I already got one response (in February) back and it didn't have any note that the postage wasn't enough. My SASEs are just 6.5x4.5x0.1 inch.

I know, I don't like it when people just send SAEs and expect the agencies or celebs to pay the postage. The problem with this is that it is really hard and expensive to get American stamps in Germany!
I can't get 5ct or Forever stamps here.

And the problem with two stamps per envelope is that they cost about twice as much here as they would cost in America and I just don"t want to waste them. :/
Where can I get the 5ct stamps, please?

Bri0626 sells US stamps in the Autograph Sale/ Exchange section of the forum. She may be able to get you 5c stamps. She has many very happy customers.
Plus new for January 2013 USPS introduced a Global Forever Stamp (current price $1.10) I got my last lot of these from Bri
