Sending to the UK from US

Hey I'm new to this and was looking for some help. I want to send away for an autograph in the UK from one of my favorite actors. I live in the USA. What exactly do I need for sending? How do they send back? Do I need to send another separate envelope with it? If anyone could help or direct me towards it, it would be much appreciated.
