Industrial sharpie question

Why doesnt every autograph collector only use industrial Sharpies? They come in black, blue and red and are just little more expensive than normal ones. They work jujst like the normal sharpie but the industrial ones don't fade like the normal ones do. I go to training camps and different events and never seeanyone using them.

I've never heard of the industrial sharpie...then again, I've never seen a regular sharpie fade the way you describe either. Interesting!

I collect colts signatures and right know on Ebay there are three 2005 team signed helmets that retailed for $1000 that are all faded, a bunch of Unitis helmets and an authentic reggie wayne and dwight Freeney helmet that barely has a signature left. Its a pretty common occurance on anything displayed even if theres no direct sunlight.

If those helmets were signed with an industrial Sharpie they would still have nice signatures instead of cruddy fadede out ones.

They are exactly the same as a standard Sharpie only the dye in them is permanent. How were those "USELESS"??? If u know how to use a normal Sharpie U know how to use an industrial. The only difference is the permanent ink in the industrial ones. Well that and the industrial ones say Industrial sharpie in red on the side.

If u didn't know before (pretty common knowledge for ANYONE collecting signatures even a few weeks ) now u know and know how to avoid these mistakes. If the signature is on display it can and probably will fade over time even without direct sunlight if signed with a normal marker. The Colts helmet is 8 years old below and u can see what happens when they are displayed. Why keep your signatures in hiding just use the proper marker and u don't have to worry.

Heres examples with the one year test to see which pens are most permanent (industrial Sharpie obviously most permanent marker) along with Colts helmets right now on Ebay that are faded out from using regular markers.


AS u can see exactly the same size and shape as a standard Sharpie.
