I usually just write a 2-3 paragraph letter. I explain how much I enjoy what they do, tell them my favorites, explain how much I'm looking forward to whatever project they're working on. My last paragraph is dedicated to the request of the autograph.
Most desired: Johnny Depp, Chris Pine.

**I'm also trying to obtain signatures from the leads for Lord of the Rings, the new Star Trek Enterprise crew, Battlestar Galactica & The Avengers! If anyone has any address that can lead me to successes, it would be fantastic if you passed them on!!** :D

How I did mine was that I addressed her by her first name in the first line 'Dear Person', followed by a starting paragraph explaining what's enclosed that I want her to sign plus my lack of experience sending out fan letters and photos to be signed. The second paragraph explained how much I appreciate her and getting the chance to meet her and wishing her luck. And then final smaller paragraph with a couple of sentences joking about how I'm not crazy but it's not 100% confirmed. And then a P.S. explaining something about the photo.
