Beginners mistakes?

Hi everyone,
As a teenager I started to collect autographs as a hobby. I gave up on the hobby when I got married.
Two months ago I decided to resume the hobby.
I sent out about 20 requests for an autograph:
- SASE
- 2 pictures in a plastic pocket with my first name on it
- computer-typed letter with about 5-6 sentences and a handwritten signature
So far I didn't get any answer and I'm afraid that I made a mistake. Does the letter needs to be handwritten? Is a straightforward letter with 5-6 sentences too short? Is it common to receive no answers after two months?

Thank you! I also found it a couple minutes ago. My mistake, I'm sorry for the double-post.
I've read all the posts. I kept all my letter straightforward (5-6 sentences), I thought the stars don't have a lot of time and therefore they prefer clear, short letters.

I wrote mainly to "semi famous" actors and therefore I thought I'll get an answer with 1-2 months. Seems like I have to be more patient, unfortunately patience is not my strength
Anyway, seems like I did some beginner mistakes, I hope I'll get an answer though.

Thank you for your answer. Here are some of the actors I wrote to (sent on July 31th):
- Dina Meyer (Starship Troopers)
- Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers)
- Izabella Scorupco (Goldeneye, Vertical Limit)
- Jeri Ryan (Star Trek)
- Roxann Dawson (Star Trek)
- Lucy Lawless (Xena)
According to the database some of these actors responded within 2 months.

Obviously it's dependent on what they're schedules are.

As the others have said, patience is the name of the game. I do have to take issue with the "semi famous" description of at least some of the above though. ;)
