Writing to somebody twice?

Hey Everybody, I just recently sent out 8 LOR with SASE's and pictures. Now after about two weeks, of getting more and more into this collecting business I started seeing that people were also sending index cards. And after seeing beautiful homemade index cards, I kinda wanna try doing that myself.

Of course I would love to have index cards with the autographs from the 8 people I just sent out to, so my question is what should I do?
I have read in here that some of you sometimes send more LOR to the same person, and going through autograph collections on facebook I sometimes see someone having 6 different signed pictures of the same person. How do you go about asking someone for more autographs?

I don't want to sound greedy haha (I only send 1 or 2 pics per letter), it's just sometimes you find a great photo on here and think wow I would love to have this too, or you come up with an idea that you want to collect index cards as well...

Hope someone out there can help :)

Maybe you could try asking a family member or good friend if you could use their name and address and advise them to expect some of your mail. In this way you wouldn't appear greedy as the celebrity would not recognize the new name and address.

If you really want to start collecting index cards, you can just send to the people again explaining in your LOR that I recently sent you a letter, but now I'm working on an index card collection...etc....could you please sign the cards. I would love to add them to my collection.....

I have sent twice to cartoonist Gerald Scarfe, he signed both times! In the second time I sent a drawing I made an explained him I did it in his honor. He read my letter and inscribed the drawing, just as I had requested :)
