Sending Multiple Requests In The Same Envelope Advice Please

Unread post by MiniOgueHolden »

Hi,

I'm quite new to fanmail.biz but have been writing little pieces of fanmail to my favourite celebrities here and there for quite a while now. I have a few questions about the possibility of sending batches of letters to the same place and would be very grateful if anyone were able to answer them for me. I have been scrolling through forums and you all seem really nice and to be quite experienced.

First of all I was wondering if anyone had any Dos/Don'ts or tips regarding sending letters to different people in the same envelope to the same place (eg The Eastenders Studios/Film Sets/Places filming reality tv shows such as Britain's Got Talent). I don't have huge amounts of money to spend on stamps and envelopes as I am 17 and in still in school. I thought sending multiple letters in one envelope would be a good way to save a bit of money, especially to places like eastenders where I'd love to get an autograph from a lot of the cast and there is so many of them.

Would this reduce my chances of people replying as they'd think I was just writing because I could or to sell on ebay rather than that I am a genuine fan of them on the shows?

Are tv studios happy to pass them on in this way instead of all being sent in individually addressed and stamped envelopes?

Do I need to send a SASE for every person I'm writing to in the group or could any autographs just be returned in just one?

Will I need to write a note to the studio asking if they would pass it on?

Are who I'm writing to likely to ever see the letters?

Does, for example, writing to live finals of reality shows such as BGT or the voice, increase the chances of me getting genuine autographs from the judges and them actually reading my mail?

Any responses to any of the questions really would be much appreciated.

Thank you to anyone who has read this :-)

I would not do it, simply because it could cause a lot of confusion and there is a good chance of your mail getting lost. Split your letters up.

Always include an SASE, it's manners and you will have a better chance of getting a reply. There aren't many celebrities that will even bother replying to those who do not supply SASE's.

Studios, talent agencies, modeling agencies, ect... Get fan mail all the time, they know to pass it on to the correct person. You don't need to include a note asking them too.

Your celebrity will see your letter EVENTUALLY, it's a big waiting game.

Via Venue addresses can be hit and miss, it all depends on postage timing and who the celebrity is.

Thank you for replying, I shall send the letters individually. The increased chances are worth the couple of extra £s in stamps. I've only ever written via venue a few times before and there seems to be a bit of an art to it.
