HELP please! sending from uk to US

hi
sorry to be a pain....I'm new here.. I want to get a couple of autographs, one in the US and the other in Canada.. sending isn't a problem.. but received back is as I do not have Us or Canadian stamps
Will sending dollars work? and if so how much? anyone have success with this..
Would appreciate a reply guys
