Question about sending to an outdated address

I sent a request to Inter Milan a few months ago to its former address. I didn't know it changed and I sent it there, and thing is that it had already changed a lot of time before. I did some research and I read that there is a shop there now. Do you think that the letter would be forwarded to the new address of the club or it would be returned to me? I didn't receive it back, and it's been a while already. Do these things happen?
