Pretty new collector with some questions.

Hello,
i have been collecting since 2010 but i am getting into collecting autographs now, and i get bored of just sending cards, and i don't want to risk sending a ball, or something more valuable then a card, does anyone have any tips on what to send and how to send something safely that i will get back?
Also, some players don't sign for one person, but sign for someone else, is there a reason why they don't sign for some people?
Last is how can you get players signatures at games, i have been to a lot of baseball games last year and i didn't meet any stars expect for Yoenis Cespedes, and whenever the good players are signing, i am never close (i stay by the dugout), and by the time i get there they are gone. does anyone have advice

thank you.

You can send a cheap
Ball and you can use tracking or you could get it at a game

This isn't my genre of collecting, but what I will tell you is that sending a cheap ball will backfire as the ink will fade/smudge/blend into the ball over time. Using tracking won't guarantee it coming back to you either, simply allow you to confirm it's been delivered and signed for at the address sent to. From then on it's the usual game of chance as to whether or not something comes back, that's the joy of collecting I guess. This also covers the signing for some aspect, it's the way it goes...

If you look about the various sections of the forum, I'm fairly certain you'll find advice, or specific threads geared to this as I know I have read them in the past on here.
