Sending request from UK to Italy??

Hi everyone! I want to send SASE to a football players in Italy (AC Milan). As we known, the UK stopped buying IRC. Can I use anything instead of it to get my envelope back? Do I need to send a picture for asking autograph? Where can I find the picture of football player, on ebay?
