Trust a Celebitiy's E-mail?

Has anyone here used a celebirty's e-mail, and then got a reply back? I'm planning on using a celebrity's e-mail [to save money on stamps]. But, should I trust it? I've been having some second thoughts on it, on whether I should stust it or not. I want to give that person my address to receive on autograph, but I think maybe someone is impersonating that celebrity.

Hi flourline
I would recommend using only "known" email addresses that are valid and tested by others. This way, you will know that the address is not from someone impersonating the celebrity.
If you would like to try an email address that is not known to be genuine or not, I would recommend sending an intial email, asking if it would be OK to request a photo. Say in the email that you'll include your contact address in another email if the celebrity responds by saying it's OK.
When you get a reply to your first email, if you think you trust the email address, send your details. If not, forget about it.

I think it depends where you got the e-mail address from. If you got it from a random person or website, then don't give out your address, just maybe ask if it's really them. If you got it from the celebrity's personal website, I would definitely trust that it is their e-mail.

i've only ever sent emails to people in the past, and I've had quite a few successes. Of course it completely depends on the celebrity/their agent/etc, but it's worth a shot, it's free

You should not send personal information to email addresses you are not sure of
