I am new to asking for an autograph... I am actually doing this for my six year old granddaughter who LOVES Katy Perry(I'll admit I like her music too and shes very beautiful)... Her birthday is in June, so I am hoping I can get something from Ms Perry, before than. My granddaughter wrote her a letter, but she doesn't know I am going to send it. So what exactly do I nee

Katy Perry was sending signed pictures a year or so ago when her movie came out. She hasn't been replying recently, but it's possible she could sign soon.

What you need:

-letter
-SASE (self addressed stamped envelope) - put this inside your other envelope you will send and put stamps and address it to yourself. This should be big enough to fit an 8x10 picture.
-picture (Katy Perry usually sends her own picture, but it doesn't hurt to send your own just in case)

There's always the uncertainty with fan mail, so if you want to be sure you get something by your granddaughters b-day, you could consider buying an autographed photo on ebay or another reputable site. There are a lot of fakes that are sold online. So before, just run it by this site and post a picture of it under (Is the autograph authentic) and hopefully we can clear things up.
