More "sending" help than "collecting" help but...

There's a Rolling Stone magazine with Neil Patrick Harris on the cover, and I'd love to send and see if he'll sign it. I'm not super attached to the magazine, so if it never gets sent back, I wouldn't be heartbroken. But I'm not sure how to go about sending it without it getting ruined in the mail?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Add some cardboard to prevent it from bending! That should do it. Good luck
He's doing Broadway so you might get him there!

That's what I was hoping to do! Still got about 2 months left, so hopefully I can get him in time.
Cardboard was my first thought as well, just wanted confirmation that it would work ;) Thank you!!!
