Has anyone here had any successes or thoughts on sending a fan mail letter to a certain concert tour stop at the time the performer is supposed to be there?

Personaly I`ve had a success with one band ( Anti-Flag)

yes those are REALLY fun but they are a HUGE gamble!
(And some ppl dont sign VV. be beware!)

I do it all the time.only send to people who are known to sign via venue.the success rates are pretty bad though.i only get back about 3 or 4 tops out of every 20 I send.i don't do it anymore because it is not worth it as you don't get many back

yes it's true...I've got never gotten an concert success outside Germany ! And I wrote so much letters.(at Last A.Cooper, R. Blackmore,King Diamond, GHOST. Sabaton----NOTHING) And also in Germany is the rate of loss higher as my successes. It's a gamble and you must know is it worth it? I will further try it again at the future but not more so often. The costs are to expensive. :neutral:

yap...after all my losses I write now ever at first to the location whether they passed my letter. But that are only 50%....the other 50% is hope.. :neutral: And here also give it a difference to German locations. In the states the managers from the locations much friendlier and more helpful as in germany.

I've actually sent to Enrique Iglesias from few venues they replied me they will pass it to the singer but I haven't gotten any answer yet. Hope it'll come soon!
