What postage do I put on a SAE from USA or Europe to UK?

I want to send a letter to America from the UK to one of the celebrities on my list of people I'd like autographs from. However I have no idea what postage to put on my SAE as I know that I can't put uk stamps on it. Though when looking at the royal mail website it had stamps with international postage rates but they are still uk ones, could I use them?
If I post a letter to Europe do I need that country's stamps on my SAE or will UK ones be enough?

I don't think you could use the stamps with inernational rates on your sae as they can only be used to send from the UK to another country.Yes if you post a letter to Europe or to the USA or anywhere in the world, you will need that coutries stamp which you are sending it to on your sae and the UK ones will not be enough as that country's post office won't accept them, just the stamps from their own country. The best way would be I think if you put 2-3 dollars into your sae for return postage(more depending on the size and weight of your envelope) when sending to the US and a couple of euroes when sending to Europe as the UK unfortunately doesn't sell IRCs.
