Some questions about IRCs.
Okay, so IRCs are a bit confusing to me. I'm from the USA, and since I wanted to write to a celebrity in the UK, I needed one. However, they don't sell them in America. On my vacation to Canada, I bought an International Reply Coupon at the post office. But now upon closer examination, I'm a bit confused. Do post offices still accept IRCs in the UK? And can you buy American stamps with an IRC purchased in Canada?
Re: Some questions about IRCs.
Yes to your first question.
As to the second i'm afraid I don't know for sure
All I know is when presented at a UK Post Office it will be exchanged for UK stamps to the value of a current airmail letter £1.28 (up to 20g price band).
If that is enough to get it to the US and as long as your return envelope is marked USA you should be fine.
http://www.royal-mail.com is the UK Post Office where you can calculate the price of your item. Please note recent changes mean anything over 5mm thick has to go Small Parcel rate which is way more expensive and starts at £3.50.
