question about via venue request

yes, i'm sending some photos to a venue and the artist is to be there on the 9th, which is a sunday. its like 2 and a half hrs away by car. i was wondering if i should mail it out on monday, the third, because tuesday is a holiday or wait and send it wednesday to get it there by saturday, because no mail on sunday??? the venue is just a small club/ bar

I would suggest you send it on Monday. There's a better chance that they'll pass it on for you, because sending it on Wednesday is riskier.
If you send it on the Wednesday, it will arrive on the Saturday which is a bit late ... especially if the venue may take their time sorting mail. Additionally, if your request gets delivered late, you may miss the celebrity in question altogether.
