Does anybody here type their letters?

I haven't sent anything out in a while and I feel like it would just be easier to type a bunch out and send them off. Does anybody else do this, and get a lot of replies back?

Some do, some don't and some get replies that way but a note or letter hand written is nicer, don't you think?

I type mine because my handwriting is terrible and I always personalize them and sign them by hand. But the body, where I ask for the autograph, it the same or close to it for all of them.

I type some of mine and hand write others.. it totally depends. I've gotten responses from my types letters. I too, have horrible hand writing and like to know they are able to read what I am writing. The letters I type are completely personalized for the person I am writing.

I was wondering this too. I often think I should type letters up, because I hate my handwriting and am prone to making mistakes. Also, I find it easier to be more eloquent when I can get the words out easier. On the other hand though, I run the risk of writing too much, and then that might put them off because the letter might just be too daunting for celebs that might not have a lot of time to read through a whole 1500 word letter.

This is exactly my thoughts, I had considered writing several comments to celebrities and then thought it was best to keep it short and sweet, to the point of which work you enjoy by the person and maybe a paragraph on something you specifically like out of everything.

I've never sent a typed letter, though my handwriting is not the best I believe it to be readable, and feel that it shows you're not just fishing for autographs.

If you put yourself in their shoes, and ask yourself what you would feel like receiving typed vs. handwritten letters and of course if you really doubt your own writing you could simply say so in the typed letter.
