How many Global Forever stamps to UK?

I've been reading through the USPS postal rules but I'm not sure how many stamps I would need for board backed envelopes. It looks like they're treated as parcels?

I've tried using ordinary DL envelopes with one stamp but they got trashed on the return journey to the UK.

Has anyone tried 7x5 or 8x10 return envelopes from the US to the UK and if so, how many of the Global Forever stamps did you need?

hiya, for a 10x8 board backed 'do not bend' envelope and a 10x8 photo I put 6-8 $0.49 forever stamps on them. I was using 6 and got about 8 back so far but then got one a couple of weeks back where they had paid extra postage (an extra $1.12) so now I go with 8 unless I have an odd number, 7 at a push!

Did you try the postal calculator on the usps website?

I did but I'm confused by the rules for board backed envelopes. It looks like they're treated like normal envelopes if they can bend by a certain amount? Otherwise the cost seems to be very high.

I had the same query, I got some America friends to check it for me at their post offices and I've been getting post back fine now :)
